Both teams recorded convincing wins in the Carling Cup games but they are now fully focused on the Premiership as they are eager to make amends for the poor start of the league campaign. Portsmouth desperately need three points having lost all six games so far, whereas Everton are aiming to continue the winning run and start climbing the table.

Hull are having major problems at the start of the season and they again look to be among the main candidates for the drop. The Tigers will try to kick-start their season by beating Everton but that is easier said than done. Two comprehensive wins have put Everton back on track and they are now expected to continue the winning run.

Everton are sitting in the relegation zone after four rounds and they desperately need a win to kick-start their campaign. The 4:0 win over AEK in the Europa League served as a big confidence boost and the Toffees enter the match in high spirits. Blackburn recorded the first win of the season by beating Wolves but they still face an uphill task at the Goodison Park.

The two teams that will represent England in UEFA Europa League haven’t had such a great start to the season. Three points from as many games is not a very good result for either Fulham or Everton and we expect both teams to try and take all the points from this match.

Everton managed to forget the poor league run and they easily qualified for the Europa League group stages, but the Toffees need to start winning their Premier League games. Wigan continued the string of disappointing performances having lost the Carling Cup game to Blackpool 4:1.

After the opening defeat to Stoke, Burnley shocked Manchester United at Turf Moor by beating them 1:0 and the Clarets are now looking to spring another surprise. Everton have recovered well from the embarrassing defeat to Arsenal having trashed Sigma Olomuc in the Europa League tie.

Everton are expected to build on good last season and to make one step further to the top 4 finish. The win over Arsenal in the opening game of the season could be a big sign of ambition, whereas the Gunners will be looking to prove everyone wrong and show they still have what it takes to match the best teams in the league.

FA Cup final traditionally marks the end of the season in England and the match at Wembley will have the attention of the whole nation. Chelsea are obviously the favourites here, but nobody can afford to write off Everton, especially after the Toffees eliminated Manchester United in the semis. The pressure is definitely on Chelsea, who are yet to win a trophy this season and Everton will try to take advantage of that and lift the famous trophy.

This is going to be one of the most exciting matches in the Premiership closing round as both teams will have something to play for. Fulham are on the verge of ensuring European qualification and they only need one more point to mathematically ensure the seventh place, whereas Everto need a win in order to beat Aston Villa to the fifth place in the standings.

Everton ended the great run of results by losing to Portsmouth and they will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Wigan. Back to back victories over Sunderland and Hull saw Wigan climb to seventh place but we don’t think that they will be able to stay there come end to the season.
